The Ideal Class

The ideal class is definitely NOT one that is extremely well disciplined, will follow instructions to the letter, overly hardworking, one that is simply "perfect".If a class is like this, there will be no need for teachers. The students can simply teach themselves. It will also make a teacher's life boring and uneventful.Life is not just about getting excellent grades in exams, although it might seem so at this stage of life. You only live through life once.So what if you get excellent grades, will it do you any good?If you spend your life working and trying to improve, will it do you any good? There is such a thing as being too good.An ideal class should not just be about good results, but it must also have spirit. A class without spirit is one that will not last long. What gives a class that spirit can be something that our class has.A few people making occasional jokes. Some teachers do not really approve of these people, saying that they disrupt their lessons and all that. But we can always rebut that these people are the ones keeping us awake through the lessons. Therefore an ideal class is one that has humor,a good class spirit, intelligence, and courage to correct a teacher or someone who has authority over them when they know that the person is wrong.

Use of connectors

1)Mr Chan can bring us to the physics lab or stay in class and teach.
2)It was such an interesting presentation that nobody minded when it ate into 15 minutes of our lunch time.
3)The class did their homework on time as they did not want to anger their teacher in case he eats into their free time.

My favourite english excerpt

Forrest Gump
This is my favourite excerpt out of the four because it is from the perspective of someone who is a little different from the rest of us.People say that he is an idiot but he does not seem to be offended by this.He rather explains how being a person with with an IQ near 70 has affected his life.He also gives examples to show what he means. He also gives his opinions of other idiots that he knew about. He described what happened to him when he was young and how his mother fit into his life. She kept protecting him from other children that were always teasing and being bad to him. When he was in school, there were a lot of other children that were worse than him.He thought that he was the best of the bunch. The excerpt ended when he was out of the school and away from all the other nuts.

Bridge building activity personal reflection

I feel that working with my groupmates on the bridge helped us know each other better and interact better.I think we interacted well enough to complete the bridge, mostly through laughing.
Through this activity I learnt that people make mistakes and I would plan more in future group activities. There were not much fear, discomfort and apprehension when working with my group as we already knew each other, though not that well.
